Exterior cassettes are made using core panels such as Alucobond, Reynobond, Larson, Alpolic and other similar types. The panel is made of a 3.0 mm core with double-sided facings a copper sheet, zinc-titanium, or stainless steel. The cassettes are mounted to the wall by means of an aluminium substructure, in which a thermal insulation layer made of mineral wool with glass fibre tissue is installed.
Pros/cons: high aesthetic value, limited range of colours
Note: exteriors of this type require considerable experience and the use of appropriate joints allowing for thermal expansion and contraction. Unfortunately, they are often built by companies which lack the proper knowledge and experience, leading to problems such as panels falling off after two years of use.
